Circle Time

This is our circle time area. The children sit on one of the music instruments. On the bulletin board there are body scale pictures to represent Do, Re, Me, Fa, So, La, Ti, Do.

Music Room Dramatic Play Center

I have completed my first week of music classes at work. I think the children all enjoyed it very much and my boss is very excited also. She said that one of the early childhood professors wanted me to do a demonstration for her music/art/drama class this summer. These two pictures are pictures of my dramatic play center. We used it this week for moving with streamers and scarves.

Will and his buddy Leap, the Frog...

Will was playing with Leap really well tonight. He was singing his ABC's right along with Leap. Ok, so it was more like several grunts strung together...but for a 10 week old, that is singing.

Thank You Aunt Jeanette!

blogger beta...

Hello all,
I have recently upgraded my blogger account to the new blogger beta. For the most part this will not mean much to your use of my blog. In fact most of the changes should be completely invisible to you. I think the only thing that I think will affect you is in the commenting. If you don't have a blogger beta account of your own, then you might have to post as anonymous. That's no big deal, just please leave your name when you post.

Also, I need to make a correction to my post from several days ago. Will weighed 10 lbs 5 oz.

Cheers...

More Visitors

Here are pictures of Will with his Papa Lambert, Grandma Lambert, and Great Grandma Margritz. They came down for the weekend and tried to get as much love from Little Will as they could. I think he gave them lots of smiles to take home with them.

Visitors

Will had several visitors last week. Here are pictures of him with his Aunt Julie, Aunt Jeannette, and Cousin Kellie. It was also Jeff and Valerie's first time to meet Kellie! Kellie is trying to take Will's binky from him. She would have replaced it quickly after he started to protest:-) I thought that was funny.

New Clothes

Will received some new clothes in the mail this week. Aunt Michelle sent him the Nebraska outfit so he can wear it this Saturday when Nebraska plays USC...Go Huskers. Mema sent him the knit sailor outfit. It's just a little big, but will be just right very soon. Doesn't he look precious!

Laundry Basket Fun

Daddy was folding laundry the other night and decided that Will would like to play in the laundry. I'm not quite sure he thought it was so much fun, but in a few more months I know he'll love it:-)

Handsome Husband

I took this of Jeff as he was getting ready to leave for his first day of teaching high-school math and science. Doesn't he look handsome in his shirt and tie! I like seeing him all dressed up:-)

More Smiles

A couple of weeks ago, Will began to smile "socially," just in time for his visitors. He has been smiling on a regular basis now and we love it so much. This morning he gave mommy a great big smile when she unwrapped him from his slumbering 8 hours of sleep. He sleeps so well at night. However, since he sleeps so well at night, he's decided that he just needs little cat naps during the day.

ouchie!...

Today, Will went to have his two month check up at the pediatrician. Will weighed 9 lbs and 5 oz. Will measured 24 inches. That puts him at about the 50th percentile for weight and about 75th percentile for height.

Will also got his first round of vaccinations today. He got five shots! One in the arm and four in the legs! The poor baby! I had to go with Val to help hold him down. She didn't think that she'd be strong enough. It was so sad to see him yell and to see his eyes get really big when the nurse poked him. :o(

I think it was worse for us than for him. He was asleep within a couple of minutes and has been pretty mellow all evening.

Many, Many Visits...

We have had several visits over the last several days. On last Thursday, Aunt Julie and Aunt Jeanette and Baby Kellie came for a whirl-wind trip. They came on Thursday morning and flew home on Friday morning. It was a very short trip, but we really enjoyed seeing them.
You can read their posts and see some pictures at their blogs.

Aunt Julie blogged here. Aunt Jeanette blogged here.

We also had Grandma and Papa Lambert spend the weekend with us. They also brought along (Great) Grandma Margritz. It was nice to see family.
